Homemade Apple Crisp

Fall is upon us and is by far my favorite season. This is the time where I enjoy recipes involving apples. I wanted to share with you my top apple dish that I tend to make all the time.

Prep Time: 15 Minutes

Cook Time: 50 Minutes

Cool Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 1 Hour and 30 Minutes

Serves: Up to 8 people

Ingredients:

  • 4 Large apples

  • 1/2 Teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 Teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 3/4 Cup brown sugar

  • 1 &1/2 Cups quick oats

  • 1 Stick of butter

  • Non stick spray

  • Mixing bowl

  • Knife

  • Spoon

  • 9x9 Baking pan

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to conventional bake 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Cut up the 4 apples into small cubes then place into a mixing bowl

  3. Measure out the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg then add to apples

  4. Melt one stick of butter in the microwave and drizzle over the ingredients in the bowl

  5. With your hands or spoon, mix all ingredients till the apples are coated

  6. Spray the 9x9 baking pan with the non stick spray

  7. Pour the apple mixture into the baking pan evenly then place into the oven

  8. Bake for 50 minutes or until desired texture

  9. Let cool for 15 minutes and enjoy!
