The Steel City

Pittsburgh known as The Steel City, City of Bridges, City of Champions or simply The ‘Burgh is nestled in south western Pennsylvania. I have grown up within the concrete jungle which is 20 minutes away from my childhood home. The city contains sports, history, culture and can connect you to many places by way of over 400 bridges. Pittsburgh is a place where there is community and no matter what can happen everyone comes together. It is a diverse and accepting place to be or live in. As a teenager I wanted away from the area I lived in, like most teens do. Yet where I may go or call home, Pittsburgh will have a piece of my heart. I am going to start a series on this blog of what makes The ‘Burgh a gem by cafes, restaurants, museums, parks and local spots. My goal is showcase the city for anyone who may come to Pittsburgh.
