My Five Travel Essentials
Over the last year, I have traveled around the Eastern side of the USA. In general, most of my life I have lived out of suitcases traveling with family or for performances. Even as a child, I would pack a bag for “vacation” only to be traveling to the next room in the house. Recently I decided that I feel that there are a few items that have helped me travel and it could help someone else. So here are five of my travel essentials I always have.
Hard Case Carry On
I use to always over pack when it came to trips. Then I regret packing so much by the end of the trip. So I started to pack lighter and using carry on suitcases’ for week trips. The one I have taken on trips consistently is hard cased and two sided. I find it easy to pack in a smaller bag that can fit in cars and planes.
Packing Cubes
Having packing cubes has been a life saver. I use a set of three, that give me the ability have an organized bag. Instead of trying to shove everything in, I just have to arrange them to fit. This also is handy when pack a carry on back pack for trips. I encourage you to use any kind of bag that can help create more space in your suitcase or duffel bag. Plus you will have an organized bag!
Cross Body Bag
Another essential I find useful is having a cross body as a purse. I love being able to pick up or move forward the bag to grab my wallet or water bottle. This was probably one of the best items every gifted to me because I can fill it with so much and it is easy to transport around.
Reusable Bag
In the photo there is a fish looking item, which actually turns into a reusable bag. I keep this either in my case, purse, or car when traveling. This is if I get groceries or need an extra bag to hold something at the airport.
Fabric Make-up Remover
A few years ago, I had wanted to find away to reduce the waste I was creating when washing my face of eye shadow and mascara. I found the product Erase Your Face and I use it everyday. It is a polyester towel, that you run water on it then proceed to wash your face. The towel is amazing and only takes two swipes to remove make-up from an area. When it is dirty, just put it in the washing machine. I use this product every time I wear make-up when traveling or not. It is simple to throw into a bag and go.
